This is the week of SXSW 2021. Even though it’s a virtual event this year, it is still a special community bound by the spirit of entrepreneurship, creativity, ideation, friendship, and tacos (+ BBQ, queso, pedicabs, and late nights!) Since this is a very special week, I wanted to share a story with you that I don’t think I’ve ever talked about. Every year, going back to, 2007 I think, JESS3 and I would legally (on plastic coverings) post creative signs and posters around Austin during SXSW. Each year would have a special theme. This story, focused on positivity, with no intentions or desired outcomes, other than to inspire and challenge festival goers in random moments. Whether they were waiting for an Uber/Lyft, Pedicab, a crosswalk signal to change, or standing around talking to friends or checking their phones, SXSW attendees were sure to see our work. Here’s the story of 2017 and 2018… JESS3 and I have worked on progressive projects going back to 2007 with our first (and one of the earliest viral infographics) The Conversation Prism. In the years following, we published The Twitterverse, The Social Compass, Behaviorgraphics, The Brandsphere, The Ideation Cycle, and so much more. In 2017-2018, took a step back from our digital-first roots to experiment with an analog-first program. At SXSW those years, we developed a series of old-school flyers and plastered them around Austin, TX (in designated areas and according to the rules). We did this with no specific promotion in mind. We just wanted to connect with those walking around the city (not looking at their phones), get them to think if even for a moment and hopefully share the message through them to their digital networks. It was not only a lot of fun, but also enlightening. We talked to and through people and it was unforgettable. We saw the impact on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the stories we heard and overheard IRL. I hope there’s more to come…next year, I hope! The entire album is here and here. Speaking To and Through People You Hope to Inspire: Analog-to-Digital Street Flyers That Hit Different published first on http://webtrafficfreeguide.tumblr.com/ via Tumblr Speaking To and Through People You Hope to Inspire: Analog-to-Digital Street Flyers That Hit Different We now find ourselves in the digital age of music, which means consuming it is easier than ever. It’s possible to access all types of music at a moment’s notice, both old and new – literally whatever music you want to access is at your fingertips. There are several websites for streaming online music where you can find all sorts of songs and albums that you want to listen to. Spotify is one of the most popular. Spotify boasts over 320 million users spanning 92 countries, which means it has gained a lot of traction on a global scale. It even lists global charts as well as charts by country. Even still, on Spotify, you can do more than just listen, and it’s a popular social media network for musicians to expand their success. On Spotify, many existing and emerging musicians release their work and get paid when users stream it, making it a viable way for thousands of musicians to make money. After all, people aren’t selling CDs anymore, so it’s tough to make money from music otherwise. Spotify pay rates, however, are not very impressive, so if you want to be able to earn anything notable, you need a large number of streams and followers. Achieving that, especially for new musicians, can be a daunting task. For that reason, there are plenty of websites that will give you the opportunity to buy Spotify followers, streams, and more. It’s not as simple as that, unfortunately. When attempting to purchase Spotify streams or followers, you have to be especially careful that you don’t buy from a company that is out to scam you or take you for a ride. Many social media growth companies just want to make a profit, so you won’t find much value there if you don’t choose one to provide you with real and valuable Spotify followers and streams. After reading this article, you’ll know:
We want to help you make the right choice and protect your Spotify account and progress. Let’s get started! Why you need more Spotify followers and streamsSpotify, as we mentioned above, is a massively popular music streaming site with millions of global listeners worldwide. That gives you a unique opportunity to get seen by millions of people and take your fan base to a global scale. What’s great about that is you can take your success to new heights; when you build fans all around the world, you could even potentially find yourself touring in new parts of the world and selling more merchandise. Those are incredible benefits to having more Spotify followers and streams, but how does buying them help you get more over time? Let’s take a look at one of the biggest factors in getting more popular on Spotify – social cred. Social CredSocial cred, also known as social proof, is the reason why buying Spotify followers and streams can help you perform better on Spotify and get more and more attention over time. When you have a lot of followers, you become admirable, and people are more likely to buy into what you’re offering. When you have more followers, your music looks more popular, and people will want to be a part of that community; people don’t like to feel like they’re missing out. If your music has a lot of streams, people are going to want to check it out and see what it’s all about. That’s how having more streams can help you perform better. Buying Spotify followers and streams can help you gain the necessary traction to draw in more people naturally over time, thus amplifying your popularity on the platform and in the music community. Before you decide to buy from just any site, however, let’s talk about how to choose the right one, because you don’t want to put your Spotify at risk. How to buy Spotify followers and streams from a reputable siteYou will find websites selling all types of social media followers and engagements – you’ll see them for any social media network imaginable, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, SoundCloud, and more. The problem is that this industry is notorious for having shady practices, and you can find companies who deliver low-quality followers and engagement, to nothing at all. In order to maintain the integrity of your Spotify and build your credibility, you want to make sure that you’re getting real followers and high-quality streams, so you should buy from a reputable company that can deliver on its promises. There are lots of options out there, but it’s worthwhile to do your research and make sure you know what you’re getting before you throw your money away. We’re going to give you the top 10 sites for buying Spotify followers and streams so that you can have a solid list of 10 options that will without a doubt help your Spotify popularity grow to the levels that you’re hoping to achieve. For most of us, things came to a halt in more ways than one—with our personal lives, maybe our career growth, and definitely our small businesses. This may have included marketing and advertising as we shifted from growth mode to survival mode. Now, the peak of the pandemic has passed and we’re still proceeding with caution—but proceeding nonetheless. And this may mean reactivating strategies that have been put on hold for weeks or months—like your Google Ads campaigns. The good news is, whether you’re starting fresh, reenabling the old, or ramping up the current use of your Google Ads account, we’ve outlined exactly what you need to do to audit your account and reactivate with confidence. It can feel a bit overwhelming to reinstate strategies in a new world with new priorities and mindsets. Luckily, we’ve got this Google Ads account audit checklist to help you out. Follow the steps listed out below to look at your account with fresh eyes and get your hands dirty (well, metaphorically—you may still want to carry around the hand sanitizer). Where is your Google Ads account now?Chances are, you fall into one of three scenarios with regard to your Google Ads account with respect to COVID-19:
As you can see, regardless of your post-COVID situation, there are positive opportunities in store. In the next section, we’re going to go through a list of boxes to check off to ensure you get the most out of these opportunities. How to audit your Google Ads account, post-COVIDOkay, so you’re ready to wake your Google Ads account up from its sleepy slumber and start raking in new leads. Not so fast! Let’s walk through the aspects of your account that you should revisit so you can get back up and running properly. Looking to save time? Our Google Ads Performance Grader conducts a full audit for you in a matter of seconds—free!1. Adjust your daily budgetsWhat you’re looking to spend may now differ from what your budgets once were pre-COVID. You may want to take just a minute to review what your spend looked like pre-COVID, during COVID, and now what your spend goals will be going into a post-COVID world. This means you may need to change your daily budgets if they’re still set to what you had assigned in 2019 or 2020. How do you know what you should set your budgets to now? You can look into resources from Google’s Budget Recommendations, or use a recommended formula based on what your monthly spend expectations are for 2021. Then you can break down how much you’ll have to play with for daily budgets by using the following calculation: Monthly Budget or Projected Spend divided by 30.4 which is the average number of days in the month= Overall Daily Budget You can then take that and break it up accordingly depending on which campaigns are priority for you. 2. Evaluate your metrics and set realistic goalsIt’s no secret that your performance metrics might look just a little bit different from previous years. This is why it’s helpful to evaluate where you once were in terms of performance and set realistic goals for 2021. Focus this review on what means most to you. For example, if you care about getting the most bang for your buck you may want to take a deep dive into CPA. Or, on the contrary, if you’re to achieve higher brand awareness you may want to refocus your expectations for Impressions or Click Through Rate. When applicable, you can also take a look at Industry Benchmarks to get an idea of where you should be landing in terms of future performance. 3. Make sure your bidding strategies are aligned with current goalsThis checkbox seems quick and simple, but is actually one we would consider most important. You’ll want to ensure that your campaigns have a bidding strategy assigned to them that aligns with your current goals and metrics. For example, you don’t want to use a conversion-based strategy like Target CPA if you don’t have recent conversion data for Google to optimize off of. Or, your previously set Target CPA or Max Clicks Max CPC bid limit may not align with current data. So, you’ll want to keep in mind that certain bidding strategies, like Target CPA, have a minimum historical data requirement in order to use them. If you’re starting out fresh post-COVID with limited data, you may want to default to a manual strategy or a beginner Smart Bidding strategy like Max Clicks. For more help with bidding strategies, check out our post on How to Bid Like a Pro in Google Ads or this review of The Pros and Cons of Every Automated Bidding Strategy in Google. 4. Wait out the Algorithmic Learning PeriodPicture your morning routine. You get up, brush your teeth, maybe workout to get the juices flowing, or drink coffee and catch up on the news. All of this is in an effort to come out of your slumber and acclimate to a new day. Your Google Ads campaigns go through a similar process when resurrecting from hibernation. This process is called the Algorithmic Learning Period. Essentially, Google’s algorithm is always conducting personalized learning for tip-top optimization on each and every account. It takes historical data, combines it with any new changes, and then tries out different methods of serving your ads to get you the best results. So, if your account was on a bit of a hiatus due to COVID-19, then expect a Learning Period of about a week or two. Especially when making changes to major components like Bid Strategy as mentioned above. Performance might not kick off on a stellar start, but try to wait it out. We always joke here at WordStream that patience is the toughest part of PPC and that rings true when taking the Algorithmic Learning Period into consideration! 5. Check your location targetingHow you choose to set up your campaign’s location targeting will impact both your reach as well as your spend. For example, if you were targeting all of the US before COVID-19 when you had a higher budget, then you may want to now scale it back to just priority states or cities to align with a smaller budget. Essentially, you’ll to restrict or change your targeting based off your new goals and budgets. 6. Pause or add keywordsIf there’s one thing I’m constantly telling clients on consulting calls it’s to not be afraid to pause keywords! Think of this as keeping them in your back pocket as you’ll still be able to view the historical data while these words are on pause. In a post-COVID world where every penny counts, you really don’t want to waste a single penny or impression on a keyword that doesn’t mesh well with your current campaign’s theme and metrics. Pause any underperforming keywords and ensure that what you keep are the most relevant to your updated goals. This will help keep your campaigns organized as well as ensuring that your spend is being put towards keywords that you’re confident are going to perform well. Aside from getting rid of underperforming keywords, you also may want to brainstorm new ones to add in. A more in-depth look at what keywords will work for your fresh post-COVID Google Ads account is found in Google’s Keyword Planner. Unlike Google Trends, the Google Keyword Planner provides a much more granular look at keyword metrics by location. This is a great place to stop into as you reactivate your account so that you can keep your expectations as well as your bids and budgets in line with what the average CPCs are currently at for your top keywords. This tool aso gives you a snapshot of search volume based on specified locations and timeframes. So, using this hand-in-hand with Google Trends will give you an idea of the current state of search volume as well as Average CPC for your industry’s keywords. You can also use WordStream’s free keyword tool, which provides similar data but across both Google and Bing. 7. Revisit your ad copy & landing pagesWhen making a PPC comeback, one thing that can often get left on the back burner is your ad copy. As you reevaluate your PPC goals post-COVID, you may also want to revisit ad copy to check to see that it is up to date and aligns with any new keywords, landing pages, or general branding. In other words, you don’t want to let a headline appear that mentions a now expired promotion from 2020. Or, if you have a new site then you don’t want an ad to lead folks to an old landing page. This issue is more common than you think and leads to a disapproval called “Destination Mismatch” where you need to have the same cohesive landing page across all ads within one ad group--including paused ads. So, when reactivating your account, be sure to think back to where you were prior to the pandemic and what has changed since then. Did you come out with a new product to focus your ad copy on? Have you added in new keywords that you’ll want to also fit into your ad copy? Refreshing your ad copy will not only bring things back up to date, but also give your ad viewers something new to look at. An outdated ad is not a good look for your brand. Now that’s more like it. 8. Pause underperforming ads, ad groups, or campaignsSimilar to the keywords check-up, you’ll also want to “trim the fat” in your Google Ads account upon reactivating it. Pause any underperforming ads, ad groups, or campaigns. Again, in a post-COVID world you want to make sure your money is being put to good use. That means prioritizing what aspects of your business are the absolute most important to advertise and pausing out any components that aren’t necessary. Or also pausing sections of your account that are spending but not performing. Otherwise, those components will drive up your CPA and continue to make it hard to manage your account as you weed through to get to the top performers. 9. Stay on top of negative keywordsBetween Google’s new match type changes and the ever-changing space of searcher intent, there’s a good chance you’ll want to stay on top of your negatives as you reactivate your account. Review the Google Search Terms report to see what queries you’ve shown up for and ensure you have your negative keywords added and up to date. This will help you ensure that you continue to show for the “right” queries and avoid spending on any irrelevant searches. 10. Set up your ad schedulingAnother component that may have changed in your Google Ads account is the days and times that your ads perform the best. With people working from home and so many lifestyle shifts, this is a very real possibility. So, consider setting up an ad schedule to only run ads during peak converting hours as another way to squeeze the most out of your budget. 11. Update your ad extensionsAd extensions are a great way to build out your ads in line with best practices and continuously push out high-quality ads to the search page. The nice thing is we see folks often setting general or universal ad extensions, so that they can leverage the “set it and forget it” capabilities of them. However, while it’s easy to assign ad extensions and just let them run, the caveat to this is they can easily slip through the cracks and become outdated. When you are auditing your account ask yourself: are your callout and sitelink extensions up to date? 12. Double check your conversion trackingIf you haven’t been dedicating much time to your Google Ads account in a while, then you may want to double check your conversion tracking as well. As your business has changed since the start of COVID-19, you may have new actions to track or a new site that still needs Google Tag Manager tracking tags implemented. For example, maybe this time last year you did not have a chat feature on your site, but since this has risen in popularity you may have added this and want to count people chatting in as a conversion. You can also hop directly onto your site to ensure the tags are all firing on the right pages using the Google Tag Assistant plugin. Additionally, it never hurts to pop into the Conversions section of Google Ads and double-check the conversions that are currently being tracked. In there, you can see a list of your tracked conversion actions on the left. This way, you can troubleshoot any issues with old or missing conversions to catch incorrect conversion data in its tracks before you go all in with reactivation. 13. Make use of Google TrendsLet’s say you get your account back into top shape to exactly how it once was. But, your performance is suddenly way down compared to where you were at this time last year. Well, it may not be due to anything you did wrong on your end in terms of setup. The reason performance expectations may change as you re-engage your account post-COVID is simply due to searcher interest. Now this may shock you, but the patterns of popularity in Google searches change constantly. Even more shocking is that consumer priorities and needs have shifted significantly due to the pandemic. Google Trends is a tool that can show the interest people have in a certain keyword or topic within a particular geographic area. Use it to see if your decline in performance is just due to lowered search volume. In other words, Google Trends can be a way for Google to say “It’s not you, it’s me” as the rate of searches for a certain topic ebbs and flows. 14. Evaluate your competition with Auction InsightsWhether your account has been paused for a while or you’re currently running it, you can also leverage the Auction Insights section of Google Ads to further evaluate the climate of your specific industry. Auction Insights breaks down who else is on the search results page most often along with you. So, if you’re wondering if new players emerged onto your industry scene since COVID-19 or if you’re curious to see if your archnemesis company is still outbidding you, this is a great place to start. Auction Insights not only tells you who else is on the SERP alongside you, but also where on the page they fall—whether that’s above (Position Above Rate) or below you (Outranking Share). 15. Review your change historyThis is a great time to give yourself a refresher on what your workflows were before and during COVID. Check out Google’s Change History section to see what the last changes you were making in the account were and when they occurred in case you’d like to continue that same pattern. It’s easy to forget routine checkups that were once a habit, so Change History can give you an idea of what was going on in the account in terms of alterations before you go ahead and tweak something that you had decided against in the past. This can also cue you in to any prior trends in your account. For example, if you know you dropped in conversions in the fall of 2020, then you can set your date to that timeframe and see what changes were made that may have caused that downturn. Audit and reactivate your Google Ads account with confidenceWhether you paused, scaled back, or are starting entirely fresh, there are wins to be had with reactivating your Google Ads account after the peak of the pandemic. Let’s review the steps we’ve covered in this post:

And every single day and night, I would take up residence at the Four Seasons and either the Corner Bar at the JW Marriott or the lounge or both. I, we, will miss it being live this year. We certainly missed it, and everyone, last year. But if it’s one thing we learned about SXSW over the years, is that it’s more than an annual event, it’s a community that goes with us everywhere. It doesn’t just end when the convention center doors close. The SXSW spirit lives on in all we do, in the connections and relationships we foster, the products we invent, the businesses we launch, the art we unveil, and the ideas we unleash. I’d argue, it’s part of what we’re seeing on Clubhouse today. In 2018, my friends at Gapingvoid and I collaborated around a special token of our gratitude for SXSW. This was before NFTs were a thing. Maybe we need to rethink this! In all honesty, we just wanted to celebrate the knowledge, art, music, cuisine, culture, community, and the weird vibe we give and get! At the time, I wrote this upon the release of this special memento… If you’ve ever been to SXSW, you know it’s a special experience. For an event that’s been growing since 1987, it still feels unique and vibrant and meaningful. 2018 was my 11th year. 11 years of coming to SXSW. A Virtual Ode to SXSW 2021 and Celebrating Its 2022 Comeback published first on http://webtrafficfreeguide.tumblr.com/ via Tumblr A Virtual Ode to SXSW 2021 and Celebrating Its 2022 Comeback While it doesn’t always like to refer to itself as a social media platform, Pinterest is one of the greatest marketing tools accessible for organically developing an online brand and promoting traffic to your website or blog. That being said, sometimes called a visual discovery platform – Pinterest, in simplest terms, is a way for users to find new and exciting content through images and videos, as well as from the advice of other users. However, the easiest way to think of Pinterest is simply as a search engine like Google, but with the added bonus of encouraged group participation and collaboration. While you don’t need followers to increase your brand-awareness on Pinterest – something heavily encouraged on platforms like Twitter or Instagram – you do need to be aware of the value in the longevity of your pins, as they can be searchable for months, even years, later. In that sense, when using Pinterest as a tool to optimize web traffic – it’s best to think of it in the strictest Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methods possible. Or rather, Pinterest’s own unique brand of Visual SEO. All that being said, here are 7 Powerful Ways to Get More Traffic with Pinterest: #1. Optimize your page title for SEOFirst on the list, and perhaps the simplest method to garner more traffic through Pinterest is to optimize the actual title of your Pinterest page. Though it’s likely that the title of your Pinterest page is the succinct title of your website or even your name – neither will help boost your SEO. Instead of titling your page as Johnny Boy, rework your title to include keywords that you might otherwise put in the description or a hashtag on Instagram – something like Johnny Boy – Marketing & Social Media / Marketing Solved. This simple solution is a great way to make sure people know exactly what kind of page you offer and are more likely to click on your name when searching for those keywords. #2. Create brand-based boardsAnother simple solution for garnering traffic from Pinterest is to create boards that help to promote everything your brand represents. While this is specific to each individual business, it’s important to understand that the more people rely on your fresh recommendations for topics, products, or advice related to your business – the more likely they are to keep using you as a conduit of discovery, and in turn travel to your own website or blog. To use an example, if you’re a photographer, make sure to create boards that not only include your amazing images and images of those whom you follow – but also boards related to photography equipment, shooting locations, or perhaps your favorite camera/editing settings. #3. Use keywords in pin descriptions and redirect trafficIt has become an unwritten rule on Pinterest that descriptions are not so much descriptions of a product, but rather SEO-based keywords to gravitate attention toward that product. In that sense, worry less about describing your Pins in detail and all the other services you offer – but rather using that space to make sure traffic reaches your Pin before others. The key to finding the right keywords as with all SEO is research. Find the words that others in your industry are using, go through keyword finders, and make sure whatever you promote is targeted to your niche, rather than a general audience (they’ll be more likely to come back!) And, perhaps the most important thing when using keywords in your description, make sure your URL is linked directly to the image – that way, when they click on your image, they go directly to your site. #4. Create eye-catching pinsPinterest is, above all, a visual search engine. To best take advantage of that particular feature, it’s best to create or share high-quality images. However, that doesn’t always mean having the greatest camera offering the highest resolution possible – it could also mean creating graphics that get across an idea succinctly and in an aesthetically pleasing manner. To find the best style of image for your particular niche, it’s best to just make yourself conscious of what catches your own eye naturally. Once you find something you enjoy, find a way to emulate without copying it directly – and again, redirect traffic to your website! #5. Implement video pinsOne of the newest features on Pinterest that has been especially popular in the last year is the implementation of video Pins. These, short TikTok-length Pins are a great way to link not only your website but your other social media accounts. And, with video content watched on Pinterest skyrocketing over 240% in the last year alone – looking into the creation of video Pins is well worth a try for increasing traffic. #6. Create a Pinterest Business Account and claim your contentIf you find yourself using Pinterest frequently, be sure to look into making your Pinterest account a Business Account, as you can ‘claim’ your other social media accounts – giving you the ability to attribute other content from somewhere like Youtube or Instagram, directly to your Pinterest. The ability to have Youtube, Tik Tok, or Instagram-made videos shareable to Pinterest is a great method of multi-level promotion for original content. To get started, simply click on the big, red ‘Business Hub’ button and you’re off to the races. #7. Pin posts to similar boards and repin high-quality contentThe last tip on this list is all about engagement on Pinterest. In order to garner a lot of traffic quickly, every time you make a post, or even in trying to attract attention to older posts – add them to multiple boards within your niche. Perhaps the Travel 2021 board isn’t working for your particular post – but maybe the European Travel 2021 might offer more interaction. On the topic of interaction, Pinterest may not prefer to be called a social media platform, but in many ways, it functions like one. Though you don’t need to accrue thousands of followers to get thousands of people traversing your boards, interacting on other boards and re-pinning high-quality pins is a great way to establish yourself – as other user interactions with the original post, through your page, garner traffic for both you and the original poster. Wrapping upNo matter which platform you wish to garner more organic traffic for, Pinterest is an invaluable asset. Whether you are new to the platform or have been using it for years, with a number of intuitive programs designed for web SEO as well as its own form of visual SEO – there is no shortage of amazing opportunities for building a brand and maintaining its traffic than by adding Pinterest to your marketing repertoire. The post 7 Genius Ways to Boost Your Reach Using Pinterest Marketing appeared first on Jeffbullas’s Blog. 7 Genius Ways to Boost Your Reach Using Pinterest Marketing published first on http://webtrafficfreeguide.tumblr.com/ via Tumblr 7 Genius Ways to Boost Your Reach Using Pinterest Marketing YouTube has become more competitive for brands. The platform’s trends report found that channels trying to create an audience were up by 95% from last year. Yet, the engagement and interest on the video platform remain higher than ever. How can you ensure that you stand out and get a slice of attention from viewers on your YouTube videos? Understand that retaining people to watch your videos is key. If people “watch more”, YouTube gets to show them more ads, and your channel gets in the company’s good books. Monitoring your watch time and optimizing your channel for more watch time is one of the best ways to grow your channel. So in this article, I’ll introduce you to five elements that your videos should adhere to – all of them work cohesively to increase your watch time. Here’s the first element: 1. Informational, inspirational, educational, or entertaining valueYouTube has many use cases, but viewers broadly look for videos by creators who either educate, teach them new skills or keep them entertained. YouTube trends report (that I shared above) found that successful creators tend to have an element of comedy. A survey of viewers even found 47% agreeing that their favorite creators are difficult to classify under one genre. But what do successful channels and videos have in common? They appeal to viewers’ interests and passions – it’s even more important than production value, the presence of celebrities, and the like. Here are the three reasons – clubbed together under “personal relevance” – indicating the same: So, if you want to make a living through YouTube or promote your brand effectively on the platform: follow your audience. Research their preferences, listen to their feedback and create videos on topics that interest them. If you haven’t already chosen a niche for your channel, then go back to the drawing board and do it first. Narrow down your channel’s video production efforts to a few “true” fans to whom you want to appeal. If you haven’t heard of the 1000 true fans theory, then Tim Ferriss gives a great overview: Next, use a tool like TubeBuddy to perform some keyword research on what topics are getting decent searches every month yet are relatively less competitive. These subjects would be worth going after so that once you rank, you can snag traffic from YouTube search for a few months (if not more). 2. Clickworthy thumbnailsHundreds of hours of videos are uploaded on YouTube every single minute. They end up in homepage feeds, subscription feeds, and other parts of the YouTube platform, appearing in front of your prospective viewers based on different factors. The only commonality for getting a user to click on a video is a compelling thumbnail. It’s a seemingly ordinary image, but it’s pivotal in getting more clicks on your videos from those casual browsers on the platform. As per a YouTube help center article: “Half of all channels and videos on YouTube have an impressions CTR that can range between 2% and 10%.” Depending on your channel’s size, even a 1% increase could result in hundreds to one thousand extra YouTube views. Of course, using clickbait is out of the question because YouTube recommendations also take the average view duration into account. Videos with clickbaity headlines and images typically fail at them. As YouTube viewers relate to personalities better than brands, begin using your pictures or photos of the people who present the video. Also, create a consistent template for these thumbnails so that they become recognizable for your subscribers. Choose a color palette, font, and the like, and stick with it. Here’s an example of Nick Nimmin’s channel: Note the consistency in his colors, titles, branding, and overall style? Also, understand that the click-through-rate (CTR) is dependent on the traffic source of your video. Your subscribers vs. search can have substantially different numbers. Your goal should be to keep improving your CTR year-over-year realistically. 3. Engaging hookRetaining your viewers once they click through your thumbnail and start watching your videos is crucial. It determines if the YouTube algorithm will push your videos further in user feeds. So don’t turn off your viewers. Once they click on your video, you have to meet the promise you made through your thumbnail and title. Get to the point directly – delivering the information your viewers are after at the start of the video itself. If it’s an entertaining sketch, try using an attention-grabbing precap. Noah Kagan does a great job at this on his channel. In the video below dissecting the Dude Perfect channel, he begins with a quick, interesting fact about them in 20 seconds. Then he transitions seamlessly into their first income stream: Calls-to-action to press the bell icon, watch their videos, buy your stuff, and other such “fillers” could lead to a drop off in the viewership. So keep them short and preferably place them in the middle of your videos. Once you’ve hooked a viewer for about a minute, they tend to be more forgiving of the creator’s mistakes. But a compelling introduction is important for higher retention. 4. Crystal clear audio qualityIronically if your video quality isn’t HDR, your information and content quality can make up for it on a “video” platform. Viewers don’t choose what to watch based on the production quality of videos. But without clear audio, your viewers will get annoyed and drop off your channel because the information you share won’t be comprehensible. That’s why the first investment you should make in your video production is buying professional audio equipment. Keep The Background Music SubtleThe music you use in your video should aid the “mood” you’re trying to create. It should blend such that the viewer doesn’t even remember if your video used any background music or effects. It especially shouldn’t be so loud that the voices of the actors and narration in the video aren’t audible – else you’ll end up attracting dislikes and troll comments from angry viewers. Here’s an example of a comment on a professionally produced video series by Beastly. 5. Persuasive call-to-action (CTA)If your video ticks all of the above boxes, congratulations! The viewers who watched it till the end are primed for you to make an ask. They would love to return the favor in exchange for the value you provided. The most common CTAs you might already know are liking, sharing, subscribing, and commenting on your video. These are fairly common and acceptable to a majority of YouTube viewers – it’s even a running joke: As a brand, you can also consider inviting viewers to sign up for a webinar, download a lead magnet, check out a blog post, or even view another related video. Just keep it crisp and clear. Also, multiple CTAs might confuse viewers, so tread carefully. Here’s an example from vidIQ, where Rob, the host, shares his advice on starting a YouTube channel. Then he draws attention to a video guide on setting up a video channel: If you change your frame or the energy from the last part of your video to the CTA, viewers might immediately disengage. So consider placing a CTA in the middle of your videos for subscribing to your channel because viewers might not expect it there. Experiment with creative CTAs so that the viewers don’t “see them coming.” Crack a joke, have fun, and keep it lighthearted – making the viewers smile could just get them to take the action you want them to. For instance, in the video below, the HubSpot channel’s host dances and wishes the viewer good luck with implementing the strategy they shared. Final thoughtsYouTube is the home of online video, and 2021 remains an opportune time to start a new channel or grow your existing one. The post 5 Critical Components of a Compelling YouTube Video appeared first on Jeffbullas’s Blog. 5 Critical Components of a Compelling YouTube Video published first on http://webtrafficfreeguide.tumblr.com/ via Tumblr 5 Critical Components of a Compelling YouTube Video Is Reddit marketing a branch of social media marketing? And if so, would you use it to up your social media marketing game? Most social media marketers think of Reddit after they’ve thought of the rest of social media platforms, like the giants such as Facebook and Instagram, that can turn anyone into a power influencer and create brand engagement and exposure like no other. However, Reddit is almost as large as the giants, and it is not as widely used when it comes to marketing. But how are you going to make it big using Reddit? Starting off with the factsThere is no way you don’t know what Reddit is. As a platform, it’s a true content goldmine, with anything from user questions to news, reviews, and how-tos. Four hundred and thirty million users give as many chances at conversion, which is definitely a lot. As a platform, Reddit focuses on creating clusters of content through its users. In actuality, Reddit is a user-centered platform, in the sense that the users post content that gets upvotes or downvotes. The content that gets upvoted most rises to the top. According to their interests, likes, and dislikes, users can participate in any community – also called a “Subreddit” – they’d like. Subreddits are made up of the content clusters mentioned above. For example, one of my absolute favorite subreddits is /r/Emailmarketing, which contains pretty much anything an email marketer could need. There is the option of asking or answering important email marketing questions – making some allies along the way. The upvotes and downvotes are very helpful in determining what kind of content you’d like to see and what you’ll ignore and move on. And if you’ve got an answer to a question, that’s even better. In the image above, a user needs advice on creating and sending an email campaign. This is one of the most common questions. You can see five upvotes – which is kind of a lot – and thirteen comments – which is also a lot, considering the subreddit itself. These numbers indicate that there are users in need of guidance. If you’re one of them, or if you’ve got an answer to the question, this is your time to shine. The user has the freedom to do as they like when using this platform. They can engage, leave things, and even follow the news of their area. But this type of freedom is what leads common social media marketing to fail on this platform. “Redditors” are the Kings of memes, and they’re known to roast anyone that wants to take advantage of their culture for a quick buck, be it a marketer or an actual brand. Therefore, this social media platform needs marketing tactics that could come up organically. Who is the average user?I could say that I am the average Reddit user, but that would be a lie. I’m not as invested. The average Reddit user will sit and spend hours upon hours. They’re always looking for something, be it entertaining or informative. For example, they could be looking for “Cat vs. Cucumber” videos that are just for laughs, or they could be looking for team motivation tips that could be useful when it comes to their job and getting through the day. Interacting with the average Redditor allows you to get into their minds, find out what they love, and, in the end, know how to present your brand to them in a way that will feel natural. How to use the platformReddit marketing is not like other types of social media marketing since it consists of close-knit communities rather than individuals following, liking, and sharing. This can be both a blessing and a curse. So, let’s see some best practices. Be a RedditorRedditors – or members of Reddit – are people that interact with their chosen communities and subreddits and embrace the Reddit culture. From its peculiar sense of humor to determining whether or not people are “AITA.” So, don’t try to set up a business account and exploit the platform right off the bat. Start participating in subreddits, answering questions, and posting as a user, not a marketer. Also, it’s imperative that you familiarize yourself with the lingo. Posting without knowing what “Cakeday” or “OP” means will raise suspicion. Make sure to comment on posts and get to know communities and users – and allow them to get to know you as well. Refrain from talking about your brand and your services right off the bat. Creating content for Reddit is not the same as creating content for Facebook or Instagram. Be Mindful of Your ContentAt first, make sure to create content that will get a few upvotes and comments. Create it as an individual. This will show you what the community likes and dislikes. Make sure to reply to comments and ask questions on becoming a better creator. If, for example, you’re a photographer, show your work as an individual and not the work of the photography agency you may be working for. Know the Different Types of ContentRemember that Reddit loves videos, GIFs, and anything visual. Text posts are also extremely popular, whereas blog posts are popular only in communities that have to do with blogging. What Reddit – and Redditors – hate is content that isn’t original and can be found on your other social media profiles, as well as inconsistent posters. For example, stock videos will not fly here, nor will content that is a repost from one of your brand’s other social media profiles. You need content that will look like it can contribute: original, helpful, answering a question, or asking a different one. In short, anything that looks and feels organic and authentic. Be RealLastly, being original means being honest. Don’t try to trick Redditors into anything. Thousands of subreddits are dedicated to finding accounts that create threads that get a suspiciously large amount of upvotes and have a visual communication type that looks suspiciously like a specific brand’s. Communicate and interact the same way a person would, or Redditors will roast you. It’s organic all the way here. Be RespectfulThink of participating in a subreddit like going to a new friend’s house and meeting their family. Before going, you’d definitely ask your friend about their likes, dislikes, and whether or not there are any hot topics nobody talks about. Same goes for your subreddits. Not taking your subreddit’s culture into account is wildly inappropriate and disrespectful. It would be best if you read the subreddit rules first: Then, try to read the room and get into the subreddit’s unique mindset. This will show you how to interact with users when posting organically. But it will show you another thing as well: How to use their comments like you’d use customer feedback. And customer feedback is the element that could build an empire of high conversion rates. Find Relevant SubredditsGoing on all subreddits and posting everywhere is a no-no and will most likely draw unwanted attention to you. After setting up an account and before engaging in communication with other Redditors, make sure to find subreddits relevant to your niche. That way, you’ll be able to target your audience effectively. Remember when I mentioned blogging above? Well, if you need to promote your blog, go to /r/Blogging. Don’t start promoting right away, though. See how members interact and what they say to each other. Try to mimic their tone of voice. Answer a question on starting a blog by casually mentioning your blog and your experience when you first created it. Once everyone is comfortable with your presence, start talking about your blog. And when 30 days pass, and if you feel adventurous, create your own subreddit that could be dedicated to your blog’s niche. Is Reddit a good fit?I can’t close this post without mentioning this. Not all platforms are a good fit for every brand and niche. Reddit is not the platform where marketers thrive or where sales pitches are given the time of day: So, if you’re not willing to think like a user first, Reddit is not for you. Redditors will tear you apart, as the example above suggests. However, if your brand can offer any insight into wholesome stories with a happy or rewarding ending, tips on digital learning, and education on pretty much any topic, or any technological factoid, then Redditors will love you. The same goes for information and conversation on art, music, science, or even more popular topics like nutrition and fitness, or complex and controversial political topics. If, as a marketer, you can’t use Reddit to give insight into the above topics first, then perhaps Reddit marketing is not for your brand. The same goes if you insist on “hacking the system” with fake accounts or sharing unoriginal content. The post How to Use Reddit Marketing to Grow Your Business appeared first on Jeffbullas’s Blog. How to Use Reddit Marketing to Grow Your Business published first on http://webtrafficfreeguide.tumblr.com/ via Tumblr How to Use Reddit Marketing to Grow Your Business YouTube has been growing in popularity steadily since its release in 2005, arriving at over 2 billion monthly active users. Due to this popularity, many people have taken to YouTube to monetize their efforts. While money was not first involved on YouTube, it is now possible to make a good profit through videos and YouTubing, with some of the top earners raking in millions of dollars annually. Of course, not everyone is looking to become a bonafide YouTuber, but even still, there is huge potential to gain more notoriety for your business, brand, or creative endeavor, and for this reason, people are looking to make their YouTube channel more credible. It can be tough to get people to hit that little thumbs up button on YouTube and get yourself some more likes, and it takes a substantial amount of time and patience to do it naturally. Even after a lot of time, you may still have difficulty getting likes. For this reason, people have sought to buy YouTube likes so that they can boost their credibility and popularity on YouTube, as having a lot of likes on any social media platform is always a good sign of successful content. It’s possible to buy YouTube likes, but it is increasingly difficult due to the sheer number of companies out there trying to make a profit no matter how low quality their product actually is. When you buy fake likes on YouTube, you won’t see many benefits, and it’s critical that you look closely at what companies actually offer you so that you can increase your chances of buying YouTube likes safely. In this article, you’ll learn:
Once you finish reading, hopefully, you will feel comfortable and confident in your efforts to buy and get more natural YouTube likes. Let’s get started! Why buy YouTube likes? There are plenty of benefits to buying YouTube likes. As we mentioned above, getting your own YouTube likes can be a tedious process which sometimes results in few likes at all. Because of the challenging nature of likes on YouTube, buying them already comes with an innate benefit. When you buy YouTube likes, you are able to gain likes that perhaps you’d be unable to get before. Some users never like a single video even if they watch YouTube every day. There are a few other reasons that buying YouTube likes can benefit you. Let’s take a look at those reasons. Increase Social CredThe most important thing about having more YouTube likes is that it gives you a level of social credibility that you’d otherwise lack if you didn’t have any likes. If you have a video with a couple hundred or even thousands of views, if you have no likes, it will look less trustworthy or of a lower quality, since no one liked it. People will then be less inclined to like it, as people always follow the masses. Even worse, if you have some dislikes and no likes, it can hurt you even more. On YouTube, you always want to have more likes than dislikes, so buying YouTube likes can help you ensure this happens and maintain a positive reputation. When you have likes, people are more apt to trust you and believe in your content, which is exactly what you want. Boost Likes to Get More LikesIn addition to a better reputation, when you boost your YouTube likes, you are more likely to perpetuate additional likes. People want to follow trends and if they see that others have liked your video, they’ll feel good about doing the same. If you have few to no likes, people will feel less inclined to like your content and they won’t engage with it at all. You want to have healthy engagement levels so that others become motivated to engage with your content. When you buy YouTube likes, you’ll have more YouTube likes coming in, which promotes healthy levels of engagement. Better Performance on the YouTube algorithmYouTube has very powerful algorithms, and 70% of all videos watched come from the “recommended” section that the algorithm sets up for each user based on their history as well as the performance of videos on the platform. If you don’t have good levels of engagement on YouTube such as likes, comments, shares, and views, you’re unlikely to do well in terms of the algorithm, limiting your reach and decreasing the chances of people viewing your videos. Buying likes for YouTube can help you perform better against the YouTube algorithm and gain your videos more natural reach, increasing the chances of people viewing them, and therefore liking and commenting, gaining you more engagement on a regular basis. Having more YouTube likes can help you get the key performance in terms of the YouTube algorithm that you need to pursue success on YouTube. How to buy real YouTube likesNow that we know more about the top YouTube companies from which to buy YouTube likes, views, and more, let’s see what the criteria is for deciding whether or not a company is reputable enough to buy from. There are six elements that you should be aware of and always look for when you are deciding which company to buy from. If you’ve seen a company out there and are wondering if they’re legit, you can use this information to make a final decision. All of the sites we listed above align with this criteria, but if you come across other sites and need some guidance, always keep an eye out for these 6 factors. #1. Secure Site with Secure PaymentsThe site that you buy from should, without a doubt, be secure with secure payment gateways. If the site is not secured with the lock next to the web address, the services are potentially dangerous and can put your personal information and device at risk of being hacked or jeopardized. What’s more, it won’t keep your payment information safe, which is a big problem for your data and sensitive information. While most sites don’t ask for a whole lot of personal information to provide YouTube services, you don’t want to be vulnerable to attack. If you notice that the site isn’t secure, leave it immediately so that you can minimize your risk and keep yourself safe. In addition, keep a close eye out for what type of payments they offer and how they take your payment. You don’t want your payment info to be stored or hacked into later, so these safety features are really important in ensuring you don’t lose any of your personal or financial data. #2. No Password RequiredIn order to provide YouTube services when you buy packaged likes or other engagements, a company will never need to know your password. These services are on a one-time basis and don’t require any action from your account, so a password is unnecessary. The only information that you should have to provide is your YouTube URL or specific video information, not any sensitive account information. If you see a site that requires you to put in your personal info for YouTube, navigate away and don’t buy. They are trying to take advantage of your account in some way and this is something you want to avoid. Always protect your password and if you’re making a one-time purchase for YouTube likes or any other social media service for that matter, don’t provide your password. Some recurring services based on engagement might require your password, but all companies on our list and others like them should never need your password for one-time purchase delivery. #3. Safe Delivery Time FramesAnother important safety feature of these services is that they deliver your order in a secure time frame that looks natural and drips into your account. While it’d be awesome to see your video all of a sudden have 5,000 likes, if they all appear at one time, that is suspicious. YouTube is aware of things like this, and your account will get flagged. Any reputable company that sells YouTube likes and other social media services will use a natural “drip” method that disperses your order over the period of a few days depending on how many you buy. Keep an eye open for these services; while immediate delivery may be tempting, you should always go for one that looks more natural. #4. Service GuaranteeWhen you purchase YouTube likes from a company, it’s important to know if they help to guarantee that product, or if they are not offering any level of support for your purchase. You should always look closely at what type of service guarantee is offered; some companies will offer refills in case you happen to lose any views or followers or likes over time, and some also offer a guarantee for your purchase in terms of refund policies and satisfaction. If you don’t know about what policies are in place for each company, you can be left disappointed and without support in case something doesn’t work or provide the results you expected. Before making a decision, always look at the service guarantees and policies provided by the company. Most reputable companies offer some kind of guarantee to make sure you are satisfied and back their products and services. #5. High Retention PackagesWhen you buy YouTube likes, if they are not real or high-quality, they are likely to be cleared out by YouTube, leaving you with what is essentially a wasted investment. You should always check to see what type of likes are offered by the company and how they provide them. If they have little to no information about the quality of their service and methods of service, you probably want to stay away. YouTube is hip to the practice of buying YouTube likes and other engagements, so when likes, views, comments, and more are determined to be fake, they will be cleaned by YouTube, effectively removing them from the profile. This is a way for YouTube to uphold the integrity of their platform, so that means that you should always check to see what the situation is in terms of quality and how likely these likes are to stay on #6. Responsive Customer ServiceThe worst thing would be that you have an issue with your service or need assistance and no one is around to help you. Before buying, always check out the service that the company offers in terms of customer support. You can even send a test message and see how responsive the team is and how quickly and effectively they get back to you. The hope is that you’d never have to use customer support, since that means the service worked well, but on the off chance that you’d need it, you want to make sure that they are there to help you. Most reputable companies offer a 24/7 support team and relatively responsive email options. 3 Pro tips to get more YouTube likesIn addition to buying YouTube likes from any of the providers listed above, you can use the following three pro tips to help you get more natural likes at the same time, increasing the amount of likes you are getting by two or three times. While you can never guarantee that people will like your content, there are some things you can do to encourage them and promote liking your videos. Here are three top ways to get more likes on YouTube. Provide Educational or Entertaining ContentIn order for people to be compelled to like your content, it has to provide them with a lot of value. If they feel that it was beneficial or relevant to them and struck a chord with them personally, they’ll be more inclined to like it. You can provide videos that are educational or nuanced about a specific topic, and that can lead people to find value and give you a like. In addition, you can provide videos that are entertaining and relatable, and people will also like content that makes them laugh or truly helps them relieve stress. The key is to give people something that they connect with and that they find valuable, and they will then want to give it a like because it helped them in some way. Follow Viral TrendsOn all social media networks, following trends and staying up-to-date with what is happening on the platform is important. People want to see relevant content and that’s going to perform better because people are looking for it. If you know what types of videos and particular styles are trending on YouTube, you can tailor your videos to fit with the content and themes that are doing well on the platform. When you stay relevant, you’ll get more likes. Not only will you get more likes, you’ll also get more views because people will be looking out for videos that are on trend and related to certain topics that they want to see. Don’t underestimate the power of trending videos on YouTube. You can also keep your eye on hashtags in order to know which ones are performing well and that can not only help you to know how to shape your content but also which ones to use on your video descriptions. Partner with other YouTubersEach YouTuber has its own unique following and its own audience, so it’s valuable to have partnerships that can help you expand your audience reach and get more people viewing your content. Even better, when you do partner videos or features with other YouTubers that have a larger audience, you can bring in more likes for your videos. Not only that, partner videos often perform better because of the fun and conversational nature. You don’t have to partner with a famous YouTuber to make this strategy work; you can bring in any YouTuber from your niche and find interactive and creative ways to make collaborative videos. That way, you’ll get more viewers and get more likes at the same time. Guest author: Johnny Pulling is a serial tech entrepreneur who has been living in Serbia for the past 12 years.
